I want to share a few links for ArcGIS StoryMaps that you can use as a reference to size, structure and the visualisations used (data graphs, images, maps, videos, etc)
Coastal flooding, by NOAA --> This is not about the size and word count (it is too long), but you can see the different ways they presented the data and visualisations, to give you and idea of what you can present.
Hot Numbers, by ESRI --> This one is the closest one to what is expected for you to do in terms of size, word count, data visualisation used and overall structure. It is a nice reference/template for you to see.
What's that bug?, by ESRI --> This one a fun approach that you can use. Of course, you don't have the time to use something like the bugs in the story, but you can see the more informal approach and the visualisations used.
Living Color, by ESRI --> This is just sighting of sea slugs, but gives you an idea of maps used, specially if you project is about invasive species, you can use their references to get data.
StoryMaps Gallery --> Get inspired by other stories.
