Insights from the Needs Analysis Report on Environmental and Geospatial Journalism
We are excited to release the Geojo Needs Analysis Report, a comprehensive study across Albania, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, and Portugal that maps the current landscape of Environmental and Geospatial Journalism (EGJ).
Drawing on surveys and expert interviews, our research reveals that while environmental awareness is rising, the EGJ field remains underdeveloped, with significant skills gap in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), data analysis and visualization, and the critical assessment of scientific studies.
This report is not just an analysis: the insights serve as the blueprint for the upcoming Geojo course curriculum, designed to train the next generation of media professionals.
